William Relton to direct Verdi’s Macbeth at Opera på Skäret

British director William Relton has been announced to direct Giuseppe Verdi’s ‘Macbeth’ at Opera på Skäret. The production is scheduled to open on July 31, 2027, and will run through August 29.

Relton, who has previously directed Verdi productions such as ‘Otello’ and ‘Don Carlo’ at the festival, noted that the work features compelling leading roles and magnificent music for the ensemble. The performances will take place at the company’s venue in Bergslagen, Sweden.
