William Ruto marks 16 years of Kenya's 2010 Constitution

President William Ruto addressed the 16th anniversary of the promulgation of Kenya’s 2010 Constitution during Katiba Day celebrations at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi. He stated that his administration is working to translate constitutional rights into tangible benefits for citizens through various sectors.

In healthcare, Ruto noted that over 32 million Kenyans are now registered with the Social Health Authority. Regarding housing, he reported that more than 274,000 affordable housing units are under construction, a program he claims has generated approximately 1.1 million jobs.

The President also highlighted reforms in agriculture aimed at increasing food production and reducing input costs to improve farmer income. He emphasized that the true measure of the Constitution is how its promises impact the daily lives of Kenyans through education, social protection, and devolution.
