Williams Lake hosts 11th annual Harvest Nutrition Run

The 11th annual Harvest Nutrition Run took place in Williams Lake on September 20, drawing over 100 participants including runners, walkers, and cyclists. The five-kilometre route began at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex (CMRC) and was organized by the city in partnership with Interior Health and GoByBike BC.

Designed to promote community wellness and nutrition awareness, the event featured a scavenger hunt using scarecrows equipped with QR codes that provided information on health and nutrition. Participants had the opportunity to win prizes such as locally grown produce, family recreation passes, and gift cards. The event aimed to be inclusive of all activity levels, including those using strollers or accompanied by pets.
