Williams stresses independence while eyeing Hamilton's potential impact at Ferrari

Williams former deputy team principal Claire Williams noted that only a few drivers in Formula 1 history have the character to transform a team, comparing Lewis Hamilton’s recent Ferrari debut to Michael Schumacher’s era and stressing that such change requires both the right driver and a team in a suitable situation. She said, “I don't know if I can say that any of our drivers would have necessarily done that… exactly what Michael did at Ferrari, and now probably Lewis at Ferrari.”

Team director James Vowles highlighted that Williams is the last fully independent constructor on the grid, unaffiliated with any major automotive manufacturer. He affirmed that the team’s only customer is the fan, praising drivers Carlos Sainz and Alexander Albon for embodying the team’s values of honesty and transparency and for extracting the maximum from the car.
