Willian Pacho details his cinematic arrival at PSG

In a personal account published via The Players’ Tribune, Paris Saint-Germain defender Willian Pacho detailed the unique circumstances surrounding his summer 2024 transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt to PSG.

Pacho described a recruitment process he likened to a film, involving a secret meeting in Madrid with Luis Campos at an underground restaurant, followed by a surprise FaceTime call from manager Luis Enrique. The Ecuadorian international credited Enrique’s management style for his rapid integration into the squad, noting that the coach relieved him of immediate pressure by encouraging him to develop at his own pace.

Since joining the club for a fee including bonuses of €45 million, Pacho has become a central figure in the PSG defense. He highlighted the impact of Enrique’s leadership, stating, “Luis Enrique is the key to everything PSG has accomplished.”
