Willie Nelson endorses Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico

Country music legend Willie Nelson has endorsed Democratic U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico in the upcoming Texas election. In a video released on October 8, Nelson stated, “I’ve gotten to know James Talarico. He’s a good man, who will be a good senator for the state of Texas. Please vote and vote for James Talarico.”

Talarico is running against Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton in a race that is considered highly competitive. Nelson’s endorsement follows a history of Democratic support, including past involvement with figures such as Joe Biden and Barack Obama. Other musical figures, including Don Henley and The Chicks, have also expressed support for Talarico or associated political action committees.

The endorsement has drawn significant reaction on social media, with some fans expressing disapproval of the singer’s political alignment.
