Willis Re appoints Neil Eckert as CEO

Willis Re, a global specialist in reinsurance broking and advisory services, has appointed Neil Eckert as its new Chief Executive Officer. Eckert will lead the company’s global broking and advisory strategy and collaborate with the leadership team to drive growth across its platforms.

Eckert brings approximately 40 years of experience in reinsurance, insurance, and capital markets. He joins Willis Re from the Bermuda-based reinsurer Conduit Re, which he co-founded in 2020. His extensive career includes senior roles in broking, risk transfer, and underwriting. Notably, he was the founding CEO of Brit Insurance Holdings plc and co-founded Climate Exchange plc, a platform specializing in carbon-emissions trading. He also serves as chairman of the Chicago-based environmental derivatives platform, IncubEx.
