Willy Kambwala joins Como on loan from Villarreal

Como 1907 has signed central defender Willy Kambwala on loan from Villarreal CF. The deal includes an option to purchase the 22-year-old player, which is reportedly valued at approximately 10 million euros.

Kambwala, who developed through the Manchester United youth academy and made his first-team debut in late 2023, previously played for Villarreal in La Liga and the Copa del Rey. The move to Serie A is intended to help the defender regain competitive rhythm following a serious injury that sidelined him during the previous season.

Before finalizing the move to Italy, Kambwala reportedly rejected a loan proposal from CA Osasuna. Cesc Fabregas has praised the defender, describing him as a high-quality, physically strong, and rapid player.
