Wilson Lima pledges firm fight against drug trafficking in Tefé
Senate candidate Wilson Lima advocated for a firm stance against drug trafficking during a visit to Tefé, Amazonas. Lima emphasized the role of the Arpão River Base, located on the Solimões River between Tefé and Coari, in enhancing security for riverside residents and combating organized crime. He noted that since 2020, the Arpão Base has caused nearly R$ 900 million in losses to criminal organizations.
During his campaign stop, Lima criticized political opponents for allegedly being lenient toward criminals, stating, “I do not make deals with criminals.”
In addition to security, Lima highlighted various regional developments in Tefé, including the implementation of ten ICU beds at the Regional Hospital of Tefé, the introduction of telehealth services, and investments in aerial ICU transport. He also noted infrastructure improvements such as road paving, LED lighting installations, and social programs like the State Aid and the Prato Cheio meal program.
