Wimbledon 2026 schedule set for June 29 – July 12 in London
The 2026 edition of Wimbledon will run from Monday 29 June to Sunday 12 July at the All England Club in London. The tournament will follow the current 14‑day format, including activity on the middle Sunday, with the first‑round matches on 29 June and 30 June, followed by successive rounds through the first week and the decisive quarter‑finals, semi‑finals and finals in the second week. In addition to the men’s and women’s singles, the event will feature doubles, mixed doubles, junior and wheelchair competitions.
Matches on Centre Court will start each day at 13:30 GMT (14:30 CET) with Court 1 beginning at 13:00 GMT, while outer courts open from 11:00 GMT. Wimbledon retains its traditional scheduling without night sessions, despite having retractable roofs on the main courts.
Former Grand Slam champion John Lloyd has used the upcoming Wimbledon schedule to argue for a broader tennis calendar reform, suggesting the Australian Open be moved to March and that Grand Slam matches be reduced to best‑of‑three sets to alleviate player fatigue. His comments highlight growing concerns about the physical toll of the current tour calendar.
