Wimbledon 2026 raises prize pool to £64.2 million, singles champions earn £3.6 million

The Wimbledon Championships, beginning on 29 June 2026, will distribute a total prize fund of £64.2 million, about a 20 percent increase from the previous year. In the singles events, each champion will receive £3.6 million (roughly ₹46 crore), while the runner‑up will be awarded £1.8 million (≈₹23 crore).

In the men’s and women’s doubles, winning pairs will collect £760,000 each (≈₹8.3 crore) and the finalists £380,000 (≈₹4.1 crore), a 12 percent rise over 2025. Mixed‑doubles winners will take home £148,000, with £74,000 for the runners‑up. Prize money is also allocated for players reaching earlier rounds.

Ninety percent of any surplus generated by the tournament is earmarked for the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) to support grassroots tennis, court renewal and player development in the United Kingdom.
