Wimbledon 2026: Williams sisters reunite in doubles, Watson targets success after wildcard setbacks

Venus Williams, now 43, returns to Wimbledon with her sister Serena after a decade apart, entering the women's doubles as a wildcard pair. Williams reflected on her historic 2000 singles win that secured equal prize money for women and recalled meeting the late Queen. The sisters aim for a seventh Wimbledon doubles title together.

Former mixed‑doubles champion Heather Watson looked back on her 2016 Wimbledon triumph, noting she still polishes her trophies for luck. Watson, recovering from a tendon injury, missed a singles wildcard this year and will compete in the women's doubles with fellow Brit Katie Boulter, also a wildcard pair. Watson hopes the partnership can build on their Olympic quarter‑final run and sees the 2026 tournament as a fresh opportunity to play some of her best tennis.
