South West Peninsula League: Bude Town and Penzance secure victories

Recent fixtures in the South West Peninsula League - Premier West have seen several key results. Bude Town secured a 3-0 victory over local rivals Camelford at the Broadclose. Bude's goals came from Ray Spear, who scored on his debut, and a penalty converted by skipper Harry Hopcroft, following a goal by Billy Hopcroft.

In another match, Hayle and AFC St Austell played to a 1-1 draw at Trevassack Park. Curtis Smith scored a penalty for Hayle, which was later cancelled out by a strike from St Austell’s Tom Payne. Despite the draw, Hayle has extended its unbeaten start to four games.

Penzance defeated Dobwalls 3-1 at Lantoom Park. Josh Turner scored twice for Penzance, alongside a goal from Alex Oshinyemi, while Lewis Caspall added a third. Dobwalls manager Kev McCann expressed confidence that his team will improve after facing a difficult opening schedule.
