Windows 11 restores taskbar repositioning feature

Microsoft has reintroduced the ability to reposition the Windows 11 taskbar to different sides of the screen, a feature that was previously unavailable after the transition from Windows 10. Through updates such as KB5120998 and the Windows 11 26H2 release, users can now move the taskbar to the top, left, or right edges of the display, rather than being restricted to the bottom.

In addition to changing the bar's location, users can adjust the alignment of icons. The update also allows for vertical icon alignment, with options to center them or place them at the top. While the feature restores significant flexibility, some limitations remain, such as restricted taskbar sizing options and potential inconsistencies when using multiple monitors.
