Windsbach Girls' Choir hosts Ukrainian choirs for cultural exchange

The Windsbach Girls' Choir will host the Ukrainian boys' choir Dzvinochok and the girls' choir Vognyk from Kyiv for a series of musical performances in October 2026. This marks the fifth time the Ukrainian ensembles have visited the Windsbach Choir Campus.

Three joint choral devotions are scheduled across Middle Franconia. Performances will take place at the Windsbach Chorsaal on October 26, St. Laurentius in Neuendettelsau on October 28, and the St. Egidien Cultural Church in Nuremberg on October 27. The Nuremberg event, themed ‘Life,’ will feature a discussion led by theologian Susanne Bammessel and concert pedagogue Johanna Bastian.

The Windsbach Girls' Choir is led by Prof. Claudia Jennings, while the Vognyk choir is directed by Olena Tolmachov. The season is supported by the Amateur Music Fund of the Federal Association of Choirs and Orchestras, as well as the municipalities of Nuremberg and Neuendettelsau. Admission to the events is free, though donations are requested for the Ukrainian choirs.
