A survey conducted by Autoklinikka in 2024 reveals that only approximately three out of five motorists replace their windshield wipers annually. Notably, one in ten respondents reported never having replaced them.

Experts advise checking wiper condition before autumn weather, characterized by increased rain, darkness, and fallen leaves, sets in. Worn blades can leave streaks on the glass and significantly reduce visibility, creating hazardous driving conditions. Ken Silvander of Autoklinikka recommends replacing wipers at least once a year or whenever performance declines.

Signs that wipers need replacement include: - Noise: Squeaking or scratching sounds against the glass. - Physical condition: Cracks or tears in the rubber components. - Performance: Streaks left on the windshield or uneven movement across the surface.
