Windstar Cruises has launched a new premium cruise itinerary titled ‘Bella Italia – A Southern Italian Romance,’ focusing on less conventional destinations in Southern Italy. The route specifically targets Calabria and Puglia, featuring stops in Reggio Calabria, Vibo Valentia, Taranto, and Otranto.

High occupancy rates for the summer 2026 departures on the Wind Surf sailing vessel indicate a growing interest in small-ship cruising. This model allows access to smaller ports and coastal communities that are often inaccessible to larger cruise ships, emphasizing destination-focused experiences over ship size. Italy remains a significant market for the company, which includes over 32 Italian ports in its annual Mediterranean programming.
