Wine export trends show record Bourgogne sales and rising Argentine volumes

The wine export markets for Bourgogne and Argentina showed divergent trends in recent reporting. Bourgogne wine exports to Australia reached record revenues of nearly €29 million in 2025. This represents a 9.2% increase in volume and a 2.6% increase in value. White wines served as a primary driver, with revenue rising 16% year-on-year. Notably, Mâcon wines saw a 40% increase in volume compared to 2024.

In Argentina, wine export volumes rose by 14% during the first half of 2026, reaching 103 million liters. However, total export revenue increased by only 2.6% to $319 million due to a 10% decline in average export prices. While white wine shipments climbed 47%, the growth was heavily influenced by a 53% surge in bulk wine volumes, which saw a 21% drop in average price per liter. In contrast, the higher-value bottled wine segment remained more stable, with volume increasing 2.4% and prices declining only 1%.
