Wine tourism experiences expand in Somontano and Neuquén

Wine tourism initiatives are gaining momentum in both the Somontano region of Spain and the Neuquén province of Argentina, focusing on sensory experiences and local identity.

In Spain, Bodega Sommos has announced five unique experiences for November to celebrate wine tourism. These include a wine city event in Barbastro on November 7, a pairing dinner at Asador Cobarcho in Jaca on November 19, and a five-course pairing lunch at Bodega Sommos in Barbastro on November 20.

Additionally, Bodega Pirineos, part of the Barbadillo Group in Huesca, offers the ‘Tiempo Líquido’ experience. This program allows visitors to explore the winery’s history through its concrete tanks, barrel rooms, and underground cellars, featuring tastings of five wines.

In Argentina, the Neuquén wine industry is seeing increased interest from locals and tourists alike. Producers such as Estancia Chimehuin are highlighting the connection between the Patagonian landscape and regional gastronomy, integrating local products like trout, mushrooms, and artisanal cheeses into the wine experience.
