Wines of Argentina hosts WSET educators trip to promote regional viticulture

Wines of Argentina organized the WSET Educators Trip Argentina 2026, the first official WSET trip to South America. Held from September 19 to 26, the program brought 15 certified trade professionals and educators from six strategic markets—the United States, Brazil, Canada, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and China—to explore Argentina's viticultural regions.

The initiative aimed to deepen technical knowledge and strengthen Argentina's representation within WSET's international educational content. Participants visited wineries in regions including Mendoza, Neuquén, and Río Negro to study diverse terroirs and varieties such as Malbec, Torrontés, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, and various sparkling and Criolla wines.

The program was funded by COVIAR and the provincial governments of Mendoza, Neuquén, and Río Negro, with support from Sheraton Mendoza. Beyond technical training, the mission served to promote wine tourism and create commercial opportunities by connecting international specialists with local producers and regional landscapes.
