WingArc1st launches Dr. Sum DataCatalog to support AI-ready data environments

WingArc1st Inc. has launched ‘Dr. Sum DataCatalog’ on a freemium basis to help organizations manage and search for scattered data, including its location, meaning, and administrators. The service aims to create an ‘AI-Ready’ data environment by integrating business metadata, such as usage context and constraints, with technical metadata like table and column names.

By providing this structured information, the tool helps both humans and generative AI understand data reliability and relationships, which can reduce AI hallucinations and inconsistent responses.

Simultaneously, the company released ‘Dr. Sum Ver. 6.0’, the first major update to its data management platform in nine years. This version features enhanced integration with generative AI, centralized data processing and management, and aggregation speeds up to 12 times faster than previous versions.
