Winifreda freezes municipal taxes linked to diesel prices until 2027
The Municipality of Winifreda has approved an ordinance to freeze municipal taxes, rights, and contributions linked to diesel prices until March 31, 2027. The measure, proposed by Mayor Adriana García and passed unanimously by the Deliberative Council, is intended to provide fiscal relief and predictability for residents and local productive sectors amid rising fuel costs.
Under Ordinance 773/26, the reference value for these taxes will be the price of YPF diesel at the time the regulation was sanctioned. This means subsequent increases in fuel prices will not be automatically passed on to these specific taxes. However, the ordinance includes a provision for automatic reductions if the price of diesel falls below the established reference value. The new regime is set to take effect in October.
