Winnipeg Jets defeat Colorado Avalanche 3-2

The Winnipeg Jets secured their third consecutive victory with a 3-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday night. Kyle Connor led the Jets, scoring two goals, including the game-winner with just one minute remaining in regulation. Connor’s performance brings his season total to five goals in four games.

Goaltender Stuart Skinner provided critical defense for Winnipeg, making 32 saves to withstand an Avalanche attack that outshot the Jets in the opening period. Colorado’s goals were provided by Jaden Schwartz and Fedor Svechkov, while Mackenzie Blackwood made 16 saves for the Avalanche.

The victory came despite a setback for Winnipeg as defenseman Josh Morrissey sustained an upper-body injury late in the first period. Morrissey, a key producer for the team, was ruled out for the remainder of the game after hitting the boards.
