Winnipeg Jets implement lineup changes amid strong Cole Perfetti start

The Winnipeg Jets are implementing lineup changes and seeing strong individual performances early in the 2026-27 season. Cole Perfetti has started the campaign with eight points in his first six games, including two goals in a recent 5-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild. Perfetti, playing on a top line with Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele, has shown increased confidence in his shooting and presence in front of the net.

In preparation for their matchup against the Minnesota Wild, the Jets are projected to shake up their roster. Nino Niederreiter is expected to return to the lineup, joining Viggo Björck and Gabriel Vilardi on the second line. These adjustments aim to increase production beyond the team's top line. On the defensive side, Mario Ferraro and Neal Pionk are slated for the top pairing as Josh Morrissey remains unavailable.
