Winnipeg to host new 5,000-seat NSL stadium following $8.5M investment

The Northern Super League (NSL) has announced an $8.5 million investment to transform the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex into a 5,000-seat modular stadium in Winnipeg. The facility will serve as the home for the league’s expansion side starting in 2027.

Funding for the project is being provided by multiple levels of government and the league itself. The NSL is contributing $5,025,000, while the Canadian federal government is providing $2,125,000 through the Build Communities Strong Fund. The Province of Manitoba and the City of Winnipeg are contributing $750,000 and $600,000, respectively.

SixFive Stadiums, a Vancouver-based company, will lead the development of the modular venue. The design includes a roof, premium seating, and social spaces, with the ability to expand the capacity around the turf pitch in the future. The stadium is intended to support professional play while remaining accessible to the local soccer community.
