Świnoujście rehabilitation center error hospitalizes 12 children

Twelve children, aged between 12 and 15, were hospitalized following a medical error at a rehabilitation center in Świnoujście, Poland. An employee mistakenly administered a disinfectant instead of an inhalation preparation.

Emergency medical teams responded to the scene, finding all 12 victims conscious and in stable condition. Seven children were transported to a hospital in Świnoujście, while five were taken to a facility in Goleniów.

Sanitary-epidemiological authorities in Świnoujście have launched an investigation, reviewing the storage, characteristic sheets, and expiration dates of the substances involved. Officials stated that the children are currently in good condition.
