Świnoujście residents adopt new digital Islander Card

Over 10,000 residents in Świnoujście are now using the new ‘Karta Wyspiarza’ (Islander Card). Data shows a strong preference for digital solutions, with 76.5% of users opting for the mobile application version, while 23.5% use the traditional QR code card.

The application provides various municipal benefits, including three hours of free daily parking in the Paid Parking Zone and free parking on weekends. It also offers public transport discounts, partner rebates, and a local events calendar for concerts and cultural activities.

Beyond discounts, the app serves as a critical communication tool for the city, delivering instant notifications regarding traffic disruptions, tunnel failures, or other emergencies. The city is currently developing further features, such as personalized notifications for specific streets or neighborhoods regarding planned repairs or utility outages.
