Winston-Salem Dash sweep Hot Rods to reach South Atlantic League finals

The Winston-Salem Dash have advanced to the South Atlantic League Championship Series after completing a two-game sweep of the Bowling Green Hot Rods. The Dash secured their spot in the finals with a 4-1 victory in the second game of the opening round.

Pitcher Grant Umberger led the Dash with a dominant performance, striking out 11 batters over 6.1 innings. He retired the first nine batters he faced before allowing a single in the fourth inning. Jake Curtis closed out the game by retiring the final eight batters.

The Dash offense provided early support, highlighted by an RBI single from Ely Brown and a two-run triple from Javier Mogollón in the second inning. James Taussig added a solo home run in the third to extend the lead. The Hot Rods were limited to just three hits during the contest.
