Winter clothing drives active in Araucária and Tatuí regions

Various winter clothing drives, known as Campanha do Agasalho 2026, are active in different Brazilian municipalities to support vulnerable families during cold weather.

In Araucária, donations of winter clothing, footwear, and blankets are being accepted until August 31. The initiative has already resulted in the delivery of over 6,000 items to community associations registered with the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance (SMAS). Collection points include bus terminals, the City Hall, the Municipal Chamber, and various partner companies and schools.

In the Tatuí region, the São Paulo Social Fund has launched a state-wide campaign to mobilize donations of clothing, blankets, and financial resources. While municipalities like Boituva, Cerquilho, and Itapetininga have conducted their drives, local reports in Tatuí note that specific official information regarding the municipal coordination of the 2026 campaign has been difficult to locate through official city hall channels, though local collection points such as the Fire Department are mentioned.
