Winter clothing drives organized across Greater Buenos Aires

Students from the CENS Juana Pabla Robledo school in Goudge are collecting winter clothing and footwear for children at the rural Escuela Vicente López, aiming to deliver the items on 23 June. They seek socks, shoes, jackets, gloves and other warm garments, noting that many pupils attend school without basic protection against the cold.

At the same time, a range of community groups in the southern Buenos Aires suburbs – including the municipal "Abriga" campaign in Almirante Brown, the "Frío Cero" drive in Lomas de Zamora, and the "Un abrigo para el otro" initiative in Lanús‑Avellaneda – are gathering blankets, coats, gloves, hats, socks and other supplies for vulnerable families. The campaigns list multiple drop‑off locations and operating hours for residents to donate.

Both efforts reflect a coordinated seasonal response to help low‑income children and families cope with the region’s low‑temperature winter.
