Punta Arenas and ENAP Agree on Gas Supply and Green Hydrogen Projects

The mayor of Punta Arenas, Claudio Radonich, met with ENAP’s board president Cristián Muga and general manager Julio Friedmann to set a joint agenda for gas distribution, green‑hydrogen development and community projects in the Magallanes region. The dialogue covered cultural, sports and security initiatives, and reviewed recent incidents such as a gas‑plant emergency and workplace accidents.

ENAP reaffirmed its commitment to the regional energy transition, highlighting ongoing gas‑exploration plans in Tierra del Fuego and its green‑hydrogen strategy, which the company describes as having world‑class potential. Both sides agreed to formalise working groups to follow up on the identified collaboration opportunities.
