Winter seasonal events expand in Schalkhaar and Laren

Various winter seasonal events are being prepared across the Netherlands. In Schalkhaar, the local Christmas market is undergoing a significant expansion to become a larger community event. Scheduled for Sunday, December 13, from 13:00 to 19:00, the revamped market will feature more stalls, a dedicated food and drink square, children's activities including a Santa run, and musical entertainment from a DJ.

In Laren, the Winter Village at the Brink is set to return on November 20. This year's iteration features a refreshed aesthetic and an upgraded restaurant in collaboration with Michelin-chef André Gerrits and partner Floris Wieten via Marché ’t Amsterdammertje. The event will continue to offer its traditional ice skating rink alongside seasonal culinary offerings such as cheese fondue and flammkuchen.
