Winter tourism grows at Jahorina and Ravna Planina
Winter tourism activities are being highlighted in the region, focusing on skiing opportunities and mountain resorts.
A specialized winter program is being organized at Ravna Planina near Pale from January 21 to 24, 2027. Led by physical education professor Bojan Ristić, the initiative aims to provide professional ski training for children and adults from Derventa. The all-inclusive package includes transportation, half-board accommodation at the Damis Hotel, ski passes, and professional instruction.
Meanwhile, Jahorina continues to attract visitors as a premier Eastern European ski destination, recently ranked third by National Geographic Traveller. The Olympic mountain features 47 km of ski runs, gondolas, and lifts. Local developments include the Jahorina Mountain Resort & Spa, a new hotel and apartment complex located at 1,650 meters altitude designed to accommodate the increasing number of holidaymakers.
