Winter wellness: Homeopathy and nutrition tips for immunity
To prepare for the winter season, experts suggest combining homeopathic protocols with specific nutritional choices to support the immune system.
Pharmacist Céline Julienne Chauvel recommends a preventive homeopathic protocol from October to March. For all age groups, she suggests Influenzinum 9 CH (one dose per week for one month, then one dose per month) and Echinacea 5 CH (five granules daily). For individuals with fragile lungs or intestines, she also recommends Serum de Yersin 9 CH once a month. She notes that while homeopathy does not replace conventional treatments or hygiene measures, it can serve as a supplement to a healthy lifestyle.
From a nutritional standpoint, Nathalie Negro, head of the Nutritional Center at Thermes de Brides-les-Bains, emphasizes foods rich in vitamins and antioxidants. Key recommendations include citrus fruits for vitamin C, cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and kale for sulforaphane and gut-supporting fructans, and fatty fish such as salmon and mackerel for essential omega-3 fatty acids.
