Traffic violations and police chases reported across Central Europe

Multiple incidents of traffic violations, police chases, and driving under the influence have been reported across Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.

In Germany, several high-speed pursuits occurred. In Zeilam Main, a 59-year-old man fled police after an assault in a beer garden, reaching speeds of over 150 km/h. In Solingen, a 49-year-old BMW driver fled a checkpoint while under the influence of alcohol and drugs, using a suspected forged Polish license. In Menden, a motorcyclist on a vintage Suzuki evaded police by riding onto sidewalks. Additionally, a 49-year-old driver in another German region caused multiple accidents and overturned his vehicle while intoxicated, with a blood alcohol level of 2.4 per mille.

In Austria, a 21-year-old motorcyclist was caught traveling at 116 km/h in a restricted zone in Atzbach, resulting in the immediate seizure of his license.

In Switzerland, a 16-year-old in Winterthur fled police on an unregistered and uninsured scooter through pedestrian zones before being apprehended. In Germany, a 17-year-old in the Donauwörth area fled a checkpoint on a scooter without lights, testing positive for THC during a subsequent drug test.
