Winx delivers third foal at Coolmore Stud

The champion Australian racehorse Winx has given birth to her third foal, a filly sired by Too Darn Hot, at Coolmore Stud in the Hunter Valley. The birth occurred around 10 p.m. after the mare was three weeks overdue.

Part-owner Debbie Kepitis reported that both Winx and the foal are healthy and doing well. Coolmore Stud head Tom Magnier noted a “huge buzz” among staff, describing the new foal as a “very good foal.”

This marks Winx’s third offspring. Her previous foals include a Pierro filly, which was sold for a record $10 million, and an unnamed Snitzel colt.
