Wioletta Jaworska wins 22nd Michał Kajka National Poetry Competition

Wioletta Jaworska from Nieborzyn won first prize in the 22nd Michał Kajka National Poetry Competition. The awards ceremony took place on August 8 at the Michał Kajka Museum in Ogródek.

A total of 209 poetry collections were submitted for this edition. Following the jury's evaluation, Marzena Mariola Podkościelna received second place for ‘Schowałem się lepiej’, and Piotr Michalak took third place for ‘Adeptus’. Five additional honorable mentions were awarded to Jakub Świdziniewski, Jacek Maria Hohensee, Zbigniew Pikuła, Krzysztof Koch, and Katarzyna Kamińska.

The gala included theatrical readings of the winning poems by actress Katarzyna Skarżanka and a concert by Karolina Lizer. Awards were presented by Maciej Wróbel, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, alongside local officials including Pisz County Starost Jerzy Małecki.
