Wipro reports 9.1% year-on-year revenue growth in Q2

Wipro Limited has reported its financial results for the quarter ending September 30, 2026, showing a 9.1% year-on-year increase in gross revenue to ₹247.5 billion. Despite the revenue growth, the company's consolidated net profit attributable to equity holders fell by approximately 1.9% to ₹3,200 crore compared to the same quarter last year.

The core IT services segment saw revenue of approximately ₹24,667 crore, remaining largely stable with a marginal 0.1% sequential decline. However, the operating margin for this segment improved by 0.5 percentage points quarter-on-quarter to 16.5%, even as it remained slightly lower than the previous year.

Wipro is increasingly focusing on artificial intelligence, highlighting partnerships with Google and Anthropic to accelerate AI-led engagements. The company also secured several strategic contracts, including a partnership with a major US-based bank to modernize mortgage operations using its NetOxygen platform and engagements with global biotechnology and health insurance providers.
