Wisła Kraków eyes Swedish midfielder Gabriel Sandberg
Polish Ekstraklasa club Wisła Kraków, newly promoted after four seasons, is strengthening its squad ahead of the 2026‑27 season. The club has already added goalkeeper Marcel Łubik on loan from Germany’s Augsburgo and French defender Maxence Maisonneuve from Belgium’s La Louvière.
Wisła’s next target is 23‑year‑old Swedish central midfielder Gabriel Sandberg, currently playing for second‑tier side IK Oddevold. Sandberg has scored four goals and provided one assist in 16 appearances this season and is valued at about €300 k, with a contract running to 2027. Wisła’s TVP Sport journalist Paweł Pyszkiewicz described the move as “non‑obvious” but noted interest from other clubs such as BK Häcken, AIK, Lillestrøm and SV Ried. The transfer is seen as a way to add creativity and fire‑power to the midfield as Wisła prepares for its first Ekstraklasa campaign of the decade.
