Wisag to handle Lufthansa Group ramp services at Berlin Airport

Wisag has secured a contract to provide ramp services for the Lufthansa Group at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). Starting September 1, 2026, the ground service provider will handle operations for Swiss International Air Lines, including aircraft loading and unloading, pushback maneuvers, and baggage and cargo logistics.

This agreement marks the beginning of an expanded partnership between Wisag and the Lufthansa Group at the Berlin location. In the following months, Wisag is expected to take over handling duties for other group airlines, potentially including Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, and Brussels Airlines. The move aims to stabilize operational processes and reduce aircraft ground times following previous discussions regarding punctuality and capacity issues at the airport.
