Wiscombe Park Hosts Decisive British Hillclimb Championship Weekend

The British Hillclimb Championship concluded its July round with a two‑day event at Wiscombe Park in Devon. Scotsman Wallace Menzies topped the Run‑Off with a 32.10 s time, securing his fifth consecutive victory. Title rival Will Hall finished second, while home‑built P8T driver Alex Summers earned third place, the best result for his car in the series.

The weekend was record‑rich, with twelve hill‑record falls recorded across the two days. Mechanical issues plagued Matthew Ryder, who suffered a driveshaft failure in qualifying, while local favorite Alex Coles crashed heavily at Gate, ending his challenge early. Other notable finishers included Trevor Willis, Dave Uren, Paul Haimes, David Warburton and Jonathan Varley, each adding valuable points toward the 2026 championship campaign.
