Wisconsin and Minnesota rank among most financially responsible U.S. states
A new study by BrokerChooser has ranked Wisconsin and Minnesota among the most financially responsible states in the United States. Wisconsin placed third in the rankings, while Minnesota followed in fourth.
Wisconsin's high ranking is attributed to low average credit card debt per resident, high credit scores, and healthy retirement savings. Minnesota secured its position primarily due to having the highest average credit score in the country, at 742.
Analysts compiled the list by evaluating several metrics, including average credit scores, credit card debt levels, retirement savings, and search volume for terms related to loans and ‘buy now, pay later’ services.
