John McNichols Invitational features top collegiate cross country results

The John McNichols Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana, featured high-level collegiate cross country competition. The No. 9 BYU men’s team secured the championship title, with sophomore Tayvon Kitchen finishing third.

In the women’s race, Northern Arizona took the team championship. Other notable performances included Michigan State, which earned top-10 finishes for both its men’s and women’s squads, and Harvard, which saw both its men’s and women’s teams finish in the top 15.

Individual results included Tam Gaven of Harvard finishing seventh in the men’s 8k, while Thomas Westphal of Michigan State also placed eighth. The event served as a preview for the 2026 NCAA Championships, which will be held at the same course.
