Wisconsin Badgers Launch Fall Season with Volleyball Alumni Match and Basketball Road Game

The Wisconsin Badgers women's volleyball team opened its fall schedule on Aug. 8 with an alumni exhibition at the UW Field House. Thirteen former Badgers, including two Olympians and four national champions, faced the current squad in a best‑of‑five match. The event also featured the retirement of the 2025 NCAA National Semifinalists banner and a post‑match autograph session.

In women's basketball, the Badgers, coming off a 16‑18 season and a WBIT semifinal appearance under first‑year coach Robin Pingeton, will travel to Valparaiso on Dec. 10 for a non‑conference game against the Beacons, who finished 0‑32 last season. The matchup offers Wisconsin a chance to improve its record and gives Valparaiso a fresh start after a winless campaign.
