Wisconsin faces intense heat and severe storm risks

Southeast Wisconsin is facing a period of intense heat, high humidity, and potential severe weather. Temperatures are expected to reach highs near 90 degrees Fahrenheit, with heat indices potentially climbing between 100 and 105 degrees due to tropical-level humidity and dew points in the 70s.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Level 1 Marginal Risk for severe storms in southern Wisconsin. While the risk of tornadoes remains low, residents should be prepared for the possibility of gusty winds and small hail accompanying scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the week.
