Wisconsin football sees depth emerge during fall camp

As fall camp concludes, the Wisconsin Badgers football program is seeing significant development across several position groups, though finding a consistent vertical threat in the receiving corps remains a primary objective for offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes.

In the wide receiver unit, Eugene Hilton has emerged as a consistent, improved option, while true freshman Kash Brock has exceeded expectations through his leadership and football IQ, earning reps with the second-team offense.

The defensive secondary has also seen notable depth and competition. Cornerback Cai Bates, a transfer from Florida State, has impressed coaches with his physicality and size. Additionally, true freshman Donovan Dunmore has garnered attention for his athletic background and disciplined, ‘business-like’ approach to practice. The cornerback room remains highly competitive, with ongoing battles for starting roles between players like Jai'mier Scott and Eric Fletcher.
