Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce announces awards and contest finalists

Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) has recognized Representative Calvin Callahan with the Working for Wisconsin Award. The honor recognizes legislators who support policies aimed at enhancing the state's economic climate, job creation, and business competitiveness. To earn the award, recipients must achieve at least a 70 percent rating on the WMC Legislative Scorecard.

Separately, the 11th annual ‘Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin’ contest, organized by WMC and BMO, has reached its final eight products. Following an initial pool of 108 nominees, the competition has moved into a ‘Manufacturing Madness’ bracket. The remaining contenders include products such as Komatsu’s 4800XPC Electric Rope Shovel, Jacoby Custom Cues, and AriensCo’s Gravely ZT HD STEALTH 60. The winner is scheduled to be announced on October 27 at the WMC Business Day Event.
