Wisconsin organizations announce industry awards and legislative honors

The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) has opened nominations and voting for its 2027 Recognition Awards. Members can vote through October 30, 2026, to select nominees for the Distinguished Service Award, which honors supplier partners contributing to the dairy industry. Other categories include the Babcock Award for educators, the Vanguard Award for cheesemakers, the Luminary Award for sales and R&D leaders, and the Cheese Industry Champion Award for business leaders.

Separately, Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) presented Representative Pat Snyder with the Working for Wisconsin Award. The honor recognizes legislators who support policies aimed at economic growth, job creation, and a competitive business climate. To earn the award, recipients must achieve at least a 70 percent rating on the WMC Legislative Scorecard.
