Wisconsin outranks Minnesota in 2026 Best States survey

In the 2026 Best States to Live In survey conducted by WalletHub, Wisconsin has outranked Minnesota. Wisconsin rose to third place in the national rankings, improving by one spot from the previous year.

Minnesota fell to eighth place, dropping three spots compared to its 2025 ranking. The WalletHub survey evaluated states based on five key categories: affordability, economy, education and health, quality of life, and safety.
