Wisconsin State Fair violence leads to arrests and police assaults

Violence erupted during the final night of the Wisconsin State Fair, involving multiple fights and assaults on law enforcement. Mobs reportedly attempted to storm fences and overwhelmed the midway area, specifically near the Spin City rides section.

Authorities confirmed that seven people were arrested in connection with the disturbances. During the chaos, at least one police officer was punched in the face, and a member of the fair’s security team was injured. West Allis police provided assistance to State Fair police to help regain control of the situation.

While fair officials stated that no fairgoers suffered serious injuries, the unrest spilled into the surrounding neighborhood, where reports indicated at least one person was shot. The incidents occurred as crowds attempted to navigate the nighttime fairgrounds amidst the brawls.
